…..is what my son said to me today. I had gone out to take one of the kids to her PT appt then came back and argued with 18 yr old (again…grhhhh!!!!!) and my youngest comes up to me about a half hour later and just says that to me…out of the blue.
Oh can’t they stay their sweet selves all the time?

I collect saying of all kinds dealing with all things but the ones I love the most have to do with being who you are and feeding your creative muse.
I dreamt about my blog last night in terms of my artistic endeavors. I know I need to start the year out right and commit myself more fully to this creative journey I find myself on. This means committing to it, in a serious manner, in my head. No more hanging about.
With that in mind and today being the first day of a new year, here are a few of the saying that are winding their way thru my mind and hopefully will express themselves in my art:
My mission for myself this year is to express myself more openly thru my art, to reach inside and pull out from the depths what I know is there and to not struggle with the how of it, and to push the boundaries when it comes to promoting myself, my art and my business. I have more concrete goals written down but the synopsis of them is such.
My wish for all of you of is to do what you know you MUST do, then do it some more. Keep looking towards the light and keep reaching for the stars.
Peace and prosperity and much success, however YOU define it.
I love little life sayings, serous and funny alike, and have post-it notes filled with them, some stuck on the wall in front of my studio desk, some in my bedroom, a whole page of them in my sketchbook and some I post on my daughter’s bathroom mirror at night so she can take it with her during her day.
The one below I love because it speaks to me everyday. It’s in a prominent spot…everytime I look up from the computer I see it. It says:

This quote spoke to me the instant I read it. I started out this year on a very positive note, saying that this would be the year of me, my beginning so to speak. It is known that if you say something often enough you believe it, well that has happened to me. I KNOW this is the year of me. Not in a stringent goal-oriented way (although I’ve put to paper all the goals I want to achieve for the year) but more that I will come out of my shell and GO FOR IT!
I truly believe that all who seek shall find…eventually that is.
