Hold that Take Down….

Doll Challenge
Funny incident happened when we went to take down our Art of Cloth” show this past Thurs.
I had just taken one piece down when a few ladies came wondering in apologizing and begging us to not take down the show till they had a chance to walked it.
Apparently they got the date wrong for viewing. So the five of us stood back and the 3 ladies had the place to themselves. They stayed for about 45 minutes, really studying pieces, talking amongst themselves and asking each of us questions about certain pieces.
We let them take as much time as they needed. They were very pleased and congratulated us on a “fine show”.
Now how cool is that?

See ya next time “In the Hayloft”

In a few weeks I’m getting away for a weekend with some great friends who are also artists and we’re going to attempt to make a life size cloth doll! Of course she will be a Queen
Seeing the doll made me think about it…
The 3 women had their own gallery artists talk!
OMG…what an undertaking! Who gets to take this life size beauty home?
In about 10 days I, too, get to go away with a couple of friends for the weekend just to relax and unwind. Should be loads of laughter and fun…just like you will be enjoying soon.
I love the doll. i have tried dolling making and that work is too tiny for me. i am empress with people who do dolls.
Me too girl. I have made 2 and I won’t be making anby more dolls any time soon unless she is a one piece thing….doing those fingers is a pain in the butt sometimes.
